2020 PSAL Borough Tournaments

The 2020 PSAL Borough Tournament seeds and game schedules were published by the PSAL on Friday afternoon.

Opening round games will be played on Monday (02/10), second round games on Tuesday (02/11), semifinal games on Thursday (02/13) and the finals next Saturday (02/15). As usual, the lower-seeded teams get home court advantage until the finals, which are to be played at yet to be disclosed venues. 

The seeds are as follows:

Brooklyn: (1) Boys & Girls (2) South Shore (3) Brooklyn Collegiate (4) Benjamin Banneker (5) Thomas Jefferson (6) Canarsie (7) Bedford Academy (8) Uncommon Charter (9) Lincoln (10) Eagle II 

Bronx: (1) Eagle Academy (2) Wings Academy (3) Stevenson (4) KIPP Prep (5) Lehman (6) Fannie Lou Hamer (7) Truman (8) James Monroe (9) Bathgate (10) Bronx Science

Manhattan: (1) Thurgood Marshall Academy (2) WHEELS (3) Murry Bergtraum (4) Manhattan Center (5) Beacon (6) Graphics Campus (7) Brandeis (8) Percy Sutton (9) Seward Park (10) Washington Irving

Brooklyn

On Monday February 10th, PSAL B constituent Uncommon Charter (8) will host Lincoln (9) of the Brooklyn AA, with the winner visiting Boys & Girls (1) on Tuesday.

The other opening round game in Brooklyn on Monday will be PSAL A contender Bedford Academy (7) hosting Eagle II (10) of the Brooklyn AA, with the winner traveling to take on South Shore (2) on Tuesday February 11th.

The other games in Brooklyn on Tuesday will be Brooklyn Collegiate (3) hosting Canarsie (6) in a battle of Brooklyn AAs, and PSAL A power Benjamin Banneker (4) at home against Thomas Jefferson (5) of the Booklyn AA.

Bronx

On Monday February 10th, James Monroe (8) of the Bronx AA will host Bathgate (9) of the PSAL Bronx B2, with the winner visiting top-seeded Eagle Academy on Tuesday.

The other opening round game in the Bronx on Monday will be Truman of the Bronx AA (7) hosting Bronx Science (10) of the Bronx A Northwest, with the winner to visit Wings Academy (2) on Tuesday February 11th. 

The other games in the Bronx on Tuesday will be KIPP Prep (4) hosting Lehman (5) in a matchup of PSAL A Division contenders, with another PSAL A power, Stevenson (3) hosting PSAL B heavyweight Fannie Lou Hamer (6).

Manhattan

On Monday February 10th, Percy Sutton (8) of the Manhattan A NWI will host Seward Park (9) of the Manhattan AI, with the winner visiting top-seeded Thurgood Marshall Academy on Tuesday.

The other opening round game on Monday in Manhattan will be Brandeis (7) hosting Washington Irving (10) in a another matchup of PSAL Manhattan A squads, with the winner traveling to Washington Heights to take on WHEELS on Tuesday February 11th.

Tuesday's other games in Manhattan will be Manhattan Center (4) of the Manhattan AA hosting Beacon (5) of the Manhattan A NW II, and yet another contest between Manhattan A teams, with Murry Bergtraum hosting Graphics Campus.

Queens

On Monday February 10th, Construction (8) of the Queens AA will host PSAL A Division constituent Forest Hills, with the winner to visit top-seeded Cardozo, who is undefeated at 24-0, on Tuesday.

The other opening round game on Monday in Queens will be Eagle III (7) of the Queens A East II hosting Epic South (10) of the Queens A East I, with the winner traveling to Flushing to take on John Bowne on Tuesday.

Tuesday's other games in Queens will be QHST (4) of the Queens AA hosting Far Rockaway (5) of the Queens A East I, and Hillcrest (3) of the Queens A East II hosting Queens AA member Francis Lewis (6).
