South Shore outscored Francis Lewis 24-4 in the second quarter and cruised to an 85-40 win over the Lady Patriots in Queens on Monday. Krystal Smith led a balanced offensive performance by the Lady Vikings with 14 points, with Yahmani McKayle scoring 13, Ariel Little 12 and Zhara Adeyemi, Zakieya Williams and Natalia Williams scoring 10 each.
South Shore, winners of the last five PSAL City Championships, remains unbeaten in PSAL AA league play at 6-0. The Lady Vikings will host Manhattan Center on Friday.
This was the first league loss for Francis Lewis, which is now 3-1 in the PSAL AA standings. Ariana Williams led the Lady Patriots with 14 points. Francis Lewis will visit Murry Bergtraum on Wednesday.
