Sophomore Donatas Kupsas had 24 points for Long Island Lutheran, currently ranked 6th in New York State, helping LuHi survive a scare and defeating visiting Archbishop Stepinac 79-72 in the nightcap of the Shooting Stars showcase at LuHi on Sunday. Stepinac held a lead for most of the first three quarters, holding Devonte Greene of LuHi scoreless in the first half, but LuHi closed strong, outscoring Stepinac 26-16 in the fourth. In a game with a lot of whistles, free throw shooting was a major difference, with LuHi going 18-26 from the line and Stepinac going just 11-20. Jordan Tucker had a game-high 25 points and Jorden Means had 15 points for Stepinac, who are now 4-7 overall.
