Christopher Kelly had 13 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, six steals and four blocks and Jamie Nurse had 19 points and went 8-9 from the floor to lead Queens High School of Teaching over Friends (MD) 72-53 at the Big Apple Invitational on Monday. QHST shot 55% from the field in the game and 60% from the field in the second half. After holding a 12-10 lead at the end of the first quarter, QHST outscored Friends 25-13 in the second quarter to pull away. QHST, currently ranked 16th in New York State, will face Cardozo (currently ranked 1st in New York State) tomorrow and Construction (currently ranked 8th in New York State) on Friday as part of its PSAL Queens AA Division schedule. Cardozo Head Coach Ron Naclerio and Construction Head Coach Cory Semper were both in the stands for QHST's game today.
