Keith Williams had 16 points and Idan Tretout had 14 points to lead Bishop Loughlin over Holy Cross 67-59 in an overtime thriller in Brooklyn on Friday night. A fast-paced game that was close throughout, Loughlin pulled away in overtime, outscoring Holy Cross 13-5 in the extra session. With the scored tied at 54 and about 15 seconds left in regulation, Holy Cross had the ball with a chance to win it, but Loughlin came up with a key defensive stop to send the game into overtime. Loughlin scored 24 points from the free throw line on 35 attempts, while Holy Cross was only 3-5 from the charity stripe. Loughlin, currently ranked 13th in New York State, is now 6-1 in CHSAA league play and 10-3 overall, while Holy Cross is 3-4 in CHSAA league play and 7-7 overall. Loughlin next faces Mount St. Michael at home on Tuesday, while Holy Cross has a non-league game on Monday against Thurgood Marshall.
