Nick Corbett had 15 points, Joseph Zieris had 12 points and Andrew Ballou had 10 points to lead Monsignor Farrell to a 50-35 win over Monsignor McClancy in the quarterfinal round of the CHSAA A Division basketball playoffs at Archbishop Molloy on Saturday. Farrell opened the game on a 17-2 run and led 19-6 at the end of the first quarter before McClancy settled down to cut the deficit to 25-14 at the half. The Lions pulled away again in the second half, taking a 44-24 lead on Corbett's 3-pointer with 5:30 left, and cruised the rest of the way to advance to the CHSAA A Division semifinals, where they will face Monsignor Scanlan on Tuesday. Joseph DiBenedetto had nine points for McClancy.
