Isaac Grant had 16 points to lead Archbishop Molloy to a 56-43 win over Xaverian in Brooklyn-Queens AA boys basketball action on Friday night. Cole Anthony added 12 points and Justin Cole had 10 for the Stanners, who are now 12-2 in CHSAA league play and 17-3 overall. Jordan Guzman had 14 points and Nyontay Wisseh had 13 for Xaverian. Molloy now has sole possession of first place in the Brooklyn-Queens AA Division, ahead of Christ the King (11-3) and Bishop Loughlin (9-3). Chirst the King defeated St. Raymond 74-67 on Friday night, while Loughlin fell to Cardinal Hayes 79-72. Molloy has two league games remaining, both of which are at home (Tuesday against Iona and Friday against Holy Cross), while Christ the King has two road games (at Mount on Thursday and at Loughlin next Sunday). Loughlin has four league games left (St. Francis Prep at home, Xaverian at home, Christ the King at home and at Holy Cross). Molloy is in the driver's seat and can clinch first place by winning its next two games.
