Steven Turner scored 18 of his game-high 22 points in the second half, sparking a rally that helped the Cougars overcome a six point halftime deficit.

South Bronx Prep opened the game on a 7-0 run, but Fannie Lou Hamer outscored the Cougars 24-11 over the balance of the first half. South Bronx Prep turned the tables after the intermission, imposing a swarming defense that broke Fannie Lou Hamer's offensive rhythm, forcing the Panthers into hurried shots.
Tristan Cannady's corner 3-pointer with just under 4:00 to play gave South Bronx Prep a 43-42 lead, and the Cougars stretched it to 46-42 after Jordan Agyemang's 3-point play off an assist from Turner with 3:11 remaining. Turner's 3-pointer with 1:14 left all but sealed it for the Cougars, putting South Bronx Prep ahead 51-44.

Saturday's final was a rematch of the 2017 PSAL B final, when Fannie Lou Hamer edged the Cougars 61-55. This was Fannie Lou Hamer's third straight appearance in the PSAL B final.
Tariq Mahan had 11 points and Anthony Rose had 10 for the Panthers.
